About Me
As a collector of stamps for over 45 years, I have a passion for philately.
When I was just a little kid my Grandfather gave me my first stamp album, a Harris US Liberty album. I quickly discovered the wide variety of topics, art, history, and colors that stamps offered.
I learned about important people in history, discovered new places, and learned to appreciate the artwork and detail that can go into some stamps. Although I didn’t have the internet as a distraction back then, I often got caught up in hanging out with my friends, playing games and just being a kid.
I really re-discovered stamps as a young adult and started to collect worldwide. Most young people think they can accomplish anything, and I was after the whole world of stamps. My collection increased substantially when I inherited my grandfather’s collection in the early 2000’s. That just fueled the fire even more! As I get older, I realize that this is really ambitious and am starting to get more selective about what I collect
The next step for me is to work daily with the hobby I enjoy most, and that is why I started High Desert Stamps. As of right now I enjoy buying and selling collections, and I want to start selling off my personal collection in the near future.
